FirstClass Windows Installation
for ASH

Instructions for the Windows version of FirstClass 9.X installer.

To download the v9 Client for Windows click the link here:

Download here - >>  FC11033US.exe << -

Clicking on the link above will start the download to a folder or to your desktop on your PC.
After it downloads double click on the downloaded file (Ex. FC8301US.exe) to start the installation process. Below you will find pictures showing each screen of the installation process followed by instructions on how to complete each screen.

Click on Run.

Click NEXT to continue.

Click YES.

Click Next.

Please note: If you install it at ASH make sure to choose “Anyone who uses this computer, if this option is not available please contact the IT Department.

Click Next.

Click Finish to complete Installation.

You have now completed installing the FirstClass 8.3 client on your Windows machine.
Please follow the instructions below to configure your FirstClass client to connect to the ASH FirstClass server.
Located and Launch the FirstClass 8 client software. For most users there should be an icon on your desktop or a listing in your system start menu.

Once you have launched the application you should see an screen like the following:

Click the Setup button in the top right of the Login screen.

Make sure that the "Connect Via" option at the top of the Setup screen is
"Local Network .FCP".


REQUIRED SETTINGS

Enter the FirstClass server name, FC.ASH.NL into the Server field of the setup form. Please make sure there are no spaces before or after FC.ASH.NL as this can sometimes cause problems.

Click the Save button to return to the login screen.

You can now enter your username and password if you did not save them in the settings and then Click the Login button. If you click the Save button to the right of the User ID field, it will save the information displayed in the field to your setup file, and you will not need to enter it the next time you start the application.

The FirstClass client should now log you into the system and you should see your FirstClass desktop.
